Will it be like the plague in the 14th century which wiped out millions of people - an estimated one third of the European population?

Take a deep breath and relax.

It won’t.

We have much better sanitation, better communication and a better grasp as to how to overcome a virus such as ‘Covid-19).

Over the past few days I have found myself reflecting on the stories that emerged from those days - particularly a story about the so called ’Rose Robbers’ - a band of four wily characters who plundered the homes of the sick and dying. They wore masks shaped like a cone and into those masks were placed essential oils - one known to be rose - and hence their name.

How did they know essential oils would protect them? It was because the perfumers in ‘Grasse’ and the tanners of leather who were surrounded by these volatile chemicals appeared to be immune to the effects of the disease.

I can’t help but wonder: Will the essential oils that I use daily be my protector?

It’s been over a week since I returned from visiting New York City and California and so far … so good and this feels like an appropriate time to share some information about the facial and body constitutional blends that serves as the organic foundation of our ‘Earth Matter’s Apothecary’ constitutional blends.

FRANKINCENSE

Native to North Africa and extracted from the resin of the Boswellia Carteri tree, Frankincense is reputedly one of the gifts the Three Wise Men presented to the infant Jesus at birth. This rich embodying essence has the ability to slow and deepen the breath thus reducing anxiety while simultaneously inducing a calm and peaceful state of mind - much needed in this present moment.

Frankincense is one of the most beneficial oils for respiratory infections - being one of the best pulmonary antiseptics and it can be effectively used with inhalations or in the bath.

It is an important component of the EMA skin care line due to its natural ability to act as a tonic to restore tone and deter the occurrence of wrinkles.
